in-laws

I never thought I'd say this with such zeal...but goddamn do I love my future mother-in-law. Apparently, this woman knows a lot of people who work as some type of catering manager for a hotel. We've been quoted per plate at $65-$100, while she gets hook-ups in the $45 area. Word.

jury duty

I'll be damned...I gotta haul ass to Oakland tomorrow for some jury duty. Yeah boy, I have hella shit I left at work. Dang. This kinda sucks, but it's okay 'cuz I could give 2 flying fucks about work right now. I never seem to be happy with what I do for a living and for some reason I pick like the most stressful jobs.

I got tired of using Byron as a telephone to communicate with my future mother-in-law, so I just asked her straight up who she knew and what she was suggesting for a reception site. I don't know if was a good idea on my part, since I really don't want to give up any kind of control for my wedding...but hey, if she's got the hook up somewhere, then we need to take advantage...
