i'm a sucker for this kind of shit

Project 1st Birthday is in full swing...and because i'm just a Martha Stewart wannabe on the inside, i've gotten this idea from another Wan-nabe to go with the cupcake theme for Hannah's birthday bash. as always, a simple 1-year-old birthday has turned into a ginormous project for myself...complete with ideas of grandieur and the stress that comes with it. the best part is she probably definitely won't remember any of it!

3 weeks

in 3 weeks my little banana will be a year old! holy shit...where did the time go? i feel like i just had her yesterday.

she's grown so much over the past year...and i can't wait to see how much more she will grow! but hopefully she won't grow too fast :)

seems so trivial now

after pining over my lost pictures, i pull up this article and i can't even fucking imagine what this poor family is going through. i've done some bonehead things in Hannah's almost year of life, but nothing compared to that.

HELP

in addition to having to leave my first born and baby daddy AGAIN for a week...my dumb ass somehow managed to erase ALL OF HANNAH'S PICTURES from my comp! AHHHH! i only backed up til she was about 6 months...so that's a whole 1/2 of her life GONE!

can anyone help me?

i always think about updating my blog, then i get lazy. hannah does something cute and i think, "i should totally blog about this!" then i get lazy. i read other people's blogs i follow and get inspired...but then i get lazy. as you can see, lazy decides when i blog.

i booked City Beach for Hannah's 1st Birthday. my little boo boo is turning one. i don't know how that happened because i just had her yesterday...and now she's all crawling and scaling walls and mirrors...pulling up onto chairs and coffee tables...not eating jarred baby food...looking at me and saying, "Mam?"...sadness.

so i guess we are ready to start trying for number 2? stay tuned...

either i'm getting old...

or the youth of America is getting dumber!

lost in action

i fell off once again with this whole blogging thing. but in my defense, i've been busy with a little thing called work and another little thing called Hannah lol. in the interest of efficiency and not typing up a novelesque type post (cuz let's face it, what y'all really want to hear about is my little banana) she hit some major milestones over the past month (or two):

1) she started solids...hooray! but the smell and consistency of her poops have changed...boo!
2) she has rolled over...hooray! but only when she feels like it...boo!
3) she sits up pretty well on her own...hooray! but is more interested in her feet and ends up folding herself in half...boo? (i dunno, it's pretty fuckin' cute)
4) her first tooth has cut through the gums...hooray! but not for the night that it came in cuz she was crying for 2 straight hours...double boo!

that's what's happenin' in Hannahland.
